Ferris Wheels of Iraq
Iraq is home to a logic-defying quantity of ferris wheels. I've never seen anything like it. As a foreigner, I've always felt baffled as to the amount of ferris wheels, especially because I think I've only ever seen one in use once. In a single day, I've driven past 7 ferris wheels, plus an additional one under construction. Explanations of this phenomenon vary amongst Iraqis, but I've never heard it claimed that demand exceeds supply. However, their beauty is undeniable.
